"Half-Shell Continual" Automatic Watch - 36 or 40mm - High Tide Dial

I couldn’t believe how fast they sent the watch, and of course I was very impressed with the watch and the quality.

I don’t usually take the time for a thorough review. Usually I’m not inspired enough to do one. This was an exception. So I ordered the best looking watch (in my opinion) that Matt makes. I ordered the Swiss movement on mine. It’s clean and elegant. To be honest, that is the LEAST impressive aspect of the whole experience. Matt is absolutely insane for giving out his number but he does! He also texts people to make sure everything goes well. I had a no bullshit convo with Matt for like 35 minutes. We talked watches, about my order, we are both from NYC and we hate the watch industry for the hypocrisy. It’s shit like this that makes me a life long customer. To take it a step further, I asked if he could expedite my shipping because I had to travel and wanted to wear this new piece (no diddy) and the watch got to me as I was leaving on my trip. The watch; pristine workmanship, the function is just as good as some other pieces I own from another Swiss brand I will not name. Everything is FANTASTIC. If this doesn’t convince you to make the purchase the go kick rocks, honestly. Matt, you have a lifelong client. Cannot wait for the next purchase which we spoke about! Just got my watch the other day and completely satisfied with the purchase. Excellent quality, looks super nice on the wrist. I have multiple higher end watches and already know this will be in my regular rotation. Will be buying more in the future!

I found this brand from an Instagram ad which I nearly discarded but was bored and decided to look at them since the dials looked cool. What I found was the mirco-est microbrand ever, a one man shop doing what he loved and making beautiful watches. The more I looked the more I liked it. The prices for what you’re getting are just unreal. The fact that you can get a SW-200 movement in these watches for $500 is a crazy value. But the truly best part is the customer service you will receive. Matt (the owner) gives out his personal phone number for you to reach out to if you have any questions or problems. I am getting married this summer and wanted to give watches from his brand to my groomsmen. I was having trouble reaching him on his site so I saw his number and called it. He answered and literally helped me build out and place my order right then and there on New Years Eve. He even honored a discount he had running for the holidays that helped knock nearly $300 off the total bill. Then to get to the watches, I got 5 of the Half-Shell Continual’s and one Off-Shorer. They came in under a month which for 6 watches seems reasonably quick. They were packaged up carefully and wel. They came with a really nice travel box as well as a jewelers screwdriver and needle nose pliers to remove the links for fitting. Matt has truly thought of it all because as a watch novice I truly had no ability to remove the links and size the watch if he hadn’t included that for free. I will most certainly be keeping an eye on some more of Mr. Eatwell’s drops and picking up a few more as gifts and for myself.

Love this watch! Looks amazing, gotten so many questions about it, I just stare at the dial and follow the ocean waves. Keeps time perfectly, runs smooth. Came with a beautiful leather case as well and excellent customer service. Only downside is that the bracelets finish isn't the best, edges are a bit sharp. Overall I'm very happy with this beautiful watch, SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!
