Omega Speedmaster Automatic 3511.50 – Classic Racing Chronograph in a Size That Won't Overwhelm
I am parting with one of my favorite watches (my wife and I are about to move from New Orleans to Portland, OR; apparently, 3000-mile moves are outrageously expensive).
A bold expression of Omega's legendary Speedmaster heritage, the Omega Speedmaster Automatic 3511.50 delivers a perfect blend of precision, craftsmanship, and vintage appeal. It was made for the Japanese market and was never sold domestically. Most of the models you'll find online still ship from Japan.
Known as part of the "Reduced" series, this model maintains the signature Speedmaster look while offering a more compact 39mm case and automatic movement for everyday convenience. With its tri-compax chronograph layout, stainless steel construction, and racing-inspired aesthetic, this timepiece is an excellent choice for collectors and enthusiasts.

Key Features:
- Year: Early 1990s
- Reference: 3511.50
- Movement: Omega Caliber 1155 Automatic Chronograph (based on Valjoux 7750)
- Case Diameter: 39mm
- Case Material: Stainless Steel
- Crystal: Sapphire
- Bezel: Fixed tachymeter scale
- Dial: Black with contrasting silver subdials and slight patina
-
Bracelet: Stainless steel Omega bracelet - I bought two links when I bought the watch last year, which were installed by the local Omega AD in New Orleans. (receipt in photos)
- Max Wrist Size: 7.25"
- Water Resistance: 30 Meters
-
Case Thickness: 14mm
Condition:
I have only worn this a handful of times since I bought it in 2024. It shows normal wear for a 30-year-old model, with wear on the bezel, case, and bracelet (see photos). The subdials have developed a unique patina, adding to their vintage character. The chronograph functions perfectly, and the movement runs well, though the service history is unknown. The previous owner said it had been recently serviced but was not aware of exactly when. A routine service is recommended for optimal performance.
Why You'll Love It:
- A more compact and wearable alternative to the traditional Speedmaster Professional
- Automatic movement for hassle-free daily wear
- Classic black dial with silver registers for a timeless, versatile look
- A great entry point into the Speedmaster lineage at a more accessible price point
What's Included:
- Omega Speedmaster 3511.50 on its original stainless steel bracelet
A true collector's piece with vintage appeal, the Omega Speedmaster 3511.50 won't last long—grab it today!
