Mardi Gras Day is my favorite day of the year; nothing compares to it. My first one in 2018 blew my mind. I couldn't believe, above all else, that it happens every year. And that entire city shuts down so all of its residents (and a few hundred thousand out of towners) can just party and celebrate life. But, it didn't happen last year.. because COVID obvs.
I miss it very much, and wanted to create something that brings a little bit of Mardi Gras into every day! I took the color splash from our ice dyed King Cake suit and put it on my favorite pair of slides for maximum comfort with a little bit of New Orleans energy! The dye work was done by my friend Via right here in New Orleans. These have a King Cake (baked by my ex-fiancée/current good friend Tess Mahoney) sole detail with a hidden "Appreciate you." under the strap. These may be one of my favorite designs to date!
I put a lot of thought, love, and work into these, so I hope you enjoy wearing em' half as much as I enjoyed making em'!

Love this sweatshirt, and glad I got the matching shorts. I’m a medium and sized up to a large, and it was the perfect oversized fit. The lining is the perfect worn in terry cloth feel. Highly recommend!
