The ScrewDiver pays homage to DJ Screw — the Houston legend who taught a generation that slowing things down is its own kind of clarity. The dial is a slice of Charoite, a rare purple silicate found in only one place on Earth (the Chara River basin, Siberia). No two are the same. The swirl, the grain, the depth — every dial has its own fingerprint.
💎 Why this watch costs more
- Stone dials run ~7× the cost of our standard dials. Charoite is rare, hand-cut to thickness, and unforgiving — small inclusions or fractures kill a dial outright.
- Hand-applied indices and logo. Every marker and every Mr. Eatwell logo is placed by hand on the stone, one piece at a time.
- High breakage rate. A meaningful percentage of dials break in transit to us, and more break during assembly. Each finished watch represents several attempts.
- Longer build time. Where a standard build is days, this can take weeks depending on stock and stone yield.
